Astrotourism is a form of nature-based tourism specifically concerned with the viewing of celestial objects, space and the physical universe.
Muskoka, with its clear skies and minimal light pollution, offers the perfect backdrop for stargazing, seeing the Northern Lights and all astronomical events. Imagine visitors flocking to our serene locale, not just for its stunning lakes and forests, but also for the celestial wonders above.
From October 17 - November 17, 2024, the municipalities of Muskoka are coming together with Muskoka Tourism to create astronomy-themed activities aiming to bring visitors to our region, and we want you to take part!
